There is no secret that small businesses are being hit hard during this time. The other day, Sparkle and I did a little shopping. Not much, because I’ve been very mindful of where I am spending my dollars these days. However, when I get the shopping itch, I am conscious to shop small and mostly black-owned!! I wanted to take this opportunity and highlight a few of those businesses, this list is for everyone not just for the minis'.
Going to kick it off with Sparkle’s shop! If you are not aware, she has designed two handbags for her Shop Call Me Sparkle line. Her bestseller, the shape belt bag, comes in three color options. You can shop her line here. We are currently offering free shipping on all orders.
Owner of Elegant Eyes and just the best at what she does. She truly is gifted as an optician and visual stylist. Go give her a follow and sign up for a virtual session if you need some new eyewear, sunglass included. Trust me, you won’t regret it. Sparkle’s dad gets his glass from her, my best friend gets her there…I recommend everyone to her!
She just produced some BOMB printed protective face mask. She’s a print master too, so I’m not surprised, she hooked us up with some printed mask.

This time last year we were launching our collab with designer Fe Noel. If you haven’t heard about Fe Noel check out sparkles interview with the designer, who she affectionately calls Ms. Fe! Her spring collection is to die for. I have my eyes on a few pieces!! Sparkle event wants this top in a mini size. LOL
We just ordered the Brown Girl Magic Hoodie and we love it. The quality is amazing!! However, we love the message on the back, black girl magic.
Lighting a candle during these times are so therapeutic, whether your cleaning, taking a bubble bath or just want your house to smell divine at all time. Oh, I can’t forget to mention it’s black-owned too! I have the home scent in our home and it smells so darn good. Light it up, throw on some good tunes and work on those house projects.
Ayyyy. I’ve purchased some high waist leggings from here. They suck and hold up everything… So good! She also has these gold bracelets with little messages on which we serve as good reminders for everyone right now to hold onto to during this time.
I bought Sparkle some lip gloss from their little collection, and it’s still her favorite gloss. It’s vegan too, which is a major plus in my book.
I purchased seasoning of her back during Black Friday and let me tell you, it took my food to another level!! You have to stay tuned to her monthly drops because they sell out within minutes. No seriously, she did one on Sunday and it sold out within two mins!!

The husband and wife duo who is responsible for this new fire website they created for Sparkle. I’ve been a customer of theirs for years. They did most fo the graphic for my old shop, Louis B. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this brand of deodorants for the entire family. Created by a boy mom, I cant wait to order some for Summer and her brother!
Ms. Paolo, that’s what Sparkle calls the owner. She had the pleasure of meeting her last year for a chocolate croissant date. She owns this lovely and creates the most beautiful headwraps I have ever seen. Her eye for design is impeccable. It shows in her products. If you are walking around with your hair not done like I am and want to give love on yourself, go and order a wrap!
AHHH! If you follow Angel, the owner of the Spice Shop on Instagram, you are missing out! She is the one who introduced me to Brioche buns and our little sandwiches and burgers have never been the same. MY GOD! Her food pics and videos is a straight tease. Anyway, she sells spice boxes and they sell out IMMEDIATELY! She is actually releasing some boxes on May 2nd and 3rd.
Ahhh! Another designer. She does these illustrations that are out of this world. She has planners, stickers, and even phone cases. L-O-V-E.
